NBA: Capela Hawks concede a heavy defeat – rts.ch

Atlanta suffered a heavy defeat Monday in the NBA, the fifth in 8 games played under the rule of its new coach Quin Snyder. Clint Capela and the Hawks lost 136-115 at home to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Anthony Edwards, who grew up in Atlanta, was the Hawks’ executioner. Ex-No. 1 in the draft, the leader of the Timberwolves managed 32 points, despite a poor 2/10 to 3 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists in a meeting where Minnesota counted up to 28 lengths ahead in the 3rd quarter (83-58).

Atlanta, which was led 76-52 at halftime, was able to count on a hard-hitting Trae Young (41 points, 7 assists, 6 rebounds). But the Hawks were sorely lacking in 3-point skill, with a mediocre 4/22 in this exercise.

Clint Capela for his part managed 10 points – 5/7 shooting -, 10 rebounds, 2 blocks and 1 interception in a game where his team ruled under the panels (51 rebounds once morest 37 for Minnesota). Aligned for only 22 minutes, the Geneva interior finished with a differential of -11.
