After weeks of rumors and leaks, 2K has finally announced the release date for NBA 2K25 and revealed the stars who will grace the various covers of this year’s game.
It will arrive on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC this September 6 and will cost $69.99 dollars in its standard edition and is now available for pre-order.
While 2K has yet to release the game’s first trailer, it did reveal that NBA All-Star and Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum will be the cover star for the NBA 2K25 Standard Edition.
NBA 2K25 All-Star Edition will feature two cover stars: Tatum will appear alongside Las Vegas Aces forward A’ja Wilson, a two-time WNBA MVP and six-time WNBA All-Star.
Wilson will also appear on the cover of NBA 2K25 WNBA Edition, a GameStop-exclusive physical edition available in the U.S. and Canada, while 2024 Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame inductee, eight-time All-Star and two-time NBA All-Star Vince Carter will appear on the cover of the NBA 2K25 Hall of Fame Edition.
What content does NBA 2K 2025 All-Star Edition include?
Like every sports simulation game that has several editions, the most expensive and premium version titled All-Star Edition will cost $99.99 on all platforms and will come with:
- 100,000 VC and MyTEAM content
- 10 MyTEAM Player Cards (3 guaranteed at 89 OVR)
- 3 Diamond Shoe Cards, 3 Takeover Boosters
- 1 Amethyst Trainer Card
- MyCAREER content, including 150 Skill Upgrades (25 games), 75 Gatorade Upgrades (25 games), Jayson Tatum Cover Jersey, Jayson Tatum
- Electric skateboard design and t-shirt featuring 2K25 cover stars design.
However, there is one more expensive edition. The Hall of Fame Edition will be a limited offer through September 8 and will cost $149.99 and includes everything from the All-Star Edition plus a Vince Carter MyCAREER cover jersey, a Season 1 Pro Pass with 4 early Pro Pass rewards, and a 12-month NBA League Pass subscription.
