Video games – NBA 2K24’s “MyCareer” mode offers this year a city by the sea around new challenges between day and night, two affiliations and the objective of becoming the “Goat” of the city!
NBA 2K saw things big for the arrival of its opus on “Next Gen” consoles. Exit the “neighborhood”, the “MyCareer” mode now has an entire city as its playground, with more shops, features, land, and even modes of transport! Over the years, the “MyCareer” mode has explored extra-basketball, with the possibility of exploring other passions off the court. But in NBA 2K24, the dream is to become the GOAT.
This year, the decor of the city borrows a landscape by the sea for main novelty, and whose playing field evolves between day and night.
A new online 1-vs-1 mode to limit the wait
The waterfront street is home to the Pro-AM, REC, Ante-Up, Theatre, Club 2K and brand new ‘Starting 5’ buildings, housing a new online 1-on-1 mode, where you challenge other players using a team consisting of your “MyPlayer” and four other NBA players. Each game, you’ll pick a team and place in the major five alongside some of the biggest names in the NBA. A way to offer a simple and above all easy-to-access online mode.
One of the attractions of the city is to be able to access its Arena on match days to carry out all the pre-match as if you were. But all around, the city is full of other attractions, between shops, playgrounds, quests and challenges related to affiliations.
This year, the city offers not four but two affiliations, “Rise” and “Elite”. Each season, “Rise” and “Elite” members will challenge each other to lead their Affiliate to victory.
The “Rise” universe follows the theme of Atlantis, with aquatic accents, while the “Elite” plunges players into a futuristic world, embellished with neon lights and sleek designs. This still promises great tussles on all the playgrounds of “The City”.
