Nazem Kadri linked to the Islanders

Persistent social media rumors link unrestricted free agent Nazem Kadri to the New York Islanders.

News outlet New York Islanders Hockey Now, former NHL scout Mark Seidel and journalist David Pagnotta have reported on the possibility of Kadri joining the “Islands”.

According to Pagnotta, the Islanders are working on multiple files right now; adding Kadri to their roster might mean the departure of one of their center players.

General manager Lou Lamoriello has his work cut out, as restricted free agents Alexander Romanov and Noah Dobson remain without a contract for next season.

Kadri, 31, is coming off the best season of his career with the Colorado Avalanche. The center player tallied 87 points, including 28 goals, in 71 games. He added 15 points, including seven goals, in 16 playoff games to help the Avalanche win the Stanley Cup.
