Nawaz Sharif’s nomination papers approved

Scrutiny of nomination papers for elections 2024 continues for the second day, the nomination papers of Pakistan Muslim League (N) leader and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif from National Assembly Constituency NA 130 have been approved.

The Election Commission’s scrutiny of the nomination papers of the candidates for the general elections to be held on February 8 continues for the second day. Nomination papers of PML-N leader Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and other candidates have been approved.

Nawaz Sharif’s nomination papers have been approved from National Assembly Constituency NA 130 from Lahore. PML-N’s Maryam Aurangzeb, Shaista Pervez and Uzma Zahid Bukhari’s nomination papers have also been approved for the seats reserved for women. The nomination papers of PP’s Hina Rabbani Khar were also accepted for the specific seat of the National Assembly.

Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Liaquat Baloch has been approved from National Assembly constituencies NA 123 and 128 from Lahore. The nomination papers of PP leader Sadiq Imrani from National Assembly Constituency NA 255 and Provincial Assembly PB 13 from Balochistan have been approved.

Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani’s papers were declared valid from Balochistan Provincial Assembly Constituency PB-32. The nomination papers of Mir Sakhi Raisani, son of former Federal Minister Humayun and Mir Lashkari Raisai, have been approved from the Provincial Assembly Constituency PB 45. Both the candidates are contesting the elections as independents.
