THE acting chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Nawawi Pomolango emphasized that the bribery case of the interim replacement (PAW) has not been stopped. He even continues to ask his investigators to report on the progress of the search for fugitive Harun Masiku.

“I and Mas Rossa (Harun case investigator, Rossa Purbo Bekti) almost every time I ask (about the progress of the search for Harun),” said Nawawi at the KPK’s Red and White Building, South Jakarta, Saturday (17/8/2024).

Nawawi also admitted that he had given Rossa an ultimatum to arrest Harun. The order was said to be a priority for the investigator.

“I said, your job is Mas, I ask you to arrest Harun Masikunya. That’s what I emphasized to her (Rossa),” said Nawawi.

In the development of this case, former 2019 Election legislative candidate from PDIP Alexsius Akim was questioned by the KPK on Monday (5/8/2024). He admitted that he was unilaterally fired by his former party even though he should have been inaugurated as a member of the council.

“What is clear is that I should have been inaugurated, but I was dismissed,” said Alexsius at the KPK’s Red and White Building, South Jakarta, Monday.

Alexsius now joins the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI). At that time, he claimed to have received the most votes in West Kalimantan, but was kicked out of PDIP without any explanation.

“I don’t know why I was crossed out until today,” said Alexsius.

He also admitted that he did not receive a dismissal letter from PDIP. The incident was said to have been asked by KPK investigators. (Can/P-3)
