A day after the new postponement by the Ethics committee of SYRIZA – PS of the recommendation for the suspension of his party status, Christos Spirtzis spoke to ERTNews, denouncing Stefanos Kasselakis for vicarious and unethical behavior, calling on him to resign.
Speaking about the letter of complaint he has sent to the party, Mr. Spirtzis stated that it concerns all those who use the party’s structures for their own benefits.
“Unfortunately, this process has also been trivialized. They made a leak yesterday, outside of what the Ethics Committee defines and they said that this will be done next week when there will be no Central Committee”, he noted. A fact which, as he said, shows the intentions as, according to the proposal of Mr. Kasselakis, he wants to abolish the Central Committee.
“It is my honor to remove myself from a faction that Stefanos Kasselakis has set up for reasons of identity,” said Mr. Spirtzis, saying that he is particularly saddened by the whole situation.
Speaking of circumvention and trivialization of the structures that exist in the party, he argued that “the only way out for the party is for Stefanos Kasselakis to leave” adding, among other things, that “with Stefanos Kasselakis there is neither camaraderie nor a political group”.
In fact, as he said, “with the trivialization of this party, it is an honor for me to be deleted by a faction set up by Stefanos Kasselakis”.
