(Seoul = Yonhap News) KOSPI-listed Naver[035420]announced on the 8th that it had tentatively calculated that operating profit for the first quarter of this year on a consolidated basis was 330.5 billion won, up 9.5% from the same period last year.

Sales were KRW 2.28 trillion, up 23.6% from the same period last year. Net profit fell 71.2% to 43.7 billion won.

This operating profit exceeded the market forecast of 306.7 billion won compiled by Yonhap Infomax by 7.7%.
