Naval Aviation Exercises in Kaliningrad Region Showcasing Tactical Combat Training

Planned exercises of naval aviation began in the Kaliningrad region. This was reported in the press service of the Baltic Fleet.

More than 500 military personnel, 20 aircraft and helicopters, as well as more than 50 pieces of special equipment are involved in combat training.

According to the plans of the command, fighters and bombers will work out the tactics of conducting air combat with aircraft of a mock enemy. The crews of the Su-27, Su-24, Su-30SM and Su-30SM2 will pay special attention to offensive and defensive piloting techniques at various altitudes and speeds, as well as bombing ground targets.

“As part of the combat training missions, the crews of the Mi-24 and Mi-8 helicopters will practice takeoff and landing, fly to a given square of the sea to open the surface situation, and also carry out training attacks on ground targets of a mock enemy. The crews of Ka-27 helicopters will search for submarines of a mock enemy, ”the press service of the fleet said in a statement.
