Rumors have been swirling regarding a remake of The Last of Us that will bring Ellie and Joel’s original adventure to the PS5 in a remastered version over the past few months.
While the game hasn’t been officially confirmed yet, there’s always evidence that the official announcement will come sooner rather than later. This is the latest example Core Hong’s LinkedIn profile – a quality assurance tester at Naughty Dog.
The tester mentions that he is involved in “QA testing and development support” for an “unannounced remake project” – which, given the many reports over the past few months, immediately brings to mind the remake of The Last of Us.
According to his online resume, Corey Hong has been working at the Santa Monica studio since 2019, conducting QA work on The Last of Us Part 2 , Uncharted Legacy of Thieves Collection and two unannounced projects including the mentioned remake.

Naughty Dog has yet to bring itself to announce a PS5 remake or remaster of The Last of Us. But more and more signs indicate that such a project is on the home stretch. As summer approaches, so does the season of announcements, so does Naughty Dogs latest projects might be there.
