Sold over 37 million copies without counting the sales made by a PC version which finally seems stable, the license The Last of Us was a winning bet for Naughty Dog. In August 2021, the studio announced that the franchise was going to be expanded with a multiplayer game, presumably focused on storytelling. Provisionally named The Last of Us Multiplayer, the title has been extremely discreet, finally revealing only two artworks. The arrival of the series might have been an opportunity for the series to say a little more, but nothing happened and it only reinforced the frustration of players. already disappointed with the lack of multiplayer mode in The Last of Us Part II.
When PlayStation announced a new PlayStation Showcase for Wednesday, May 24, we thought that the game might make an appearance, even briefly, in order to support the beginning of communication. And yet, nothing. Naughty Dog did not appear on screen, whether to highlight the series or talk regarding the games. But today everything is changing, and in a rather strange way. The studio obviously noted that his absence was noticed, and decided to communicate via a tweet published on his official account. And as much to say that it is worth the detour! In fact, we learn that the studio decided to take its time and extend the development of his game. A new single-player game in production, rumors are already swirling
