Naughty Dog confirms updates to fix The Last of Us Part 1

If you’re into the gaming universe, you’ve certainly heard regarding the disastrous release of The Last of Us Part 1 on PC. The title, which is one of the most popular in the history of Playstation and now also successful as a series on HBO, presented serious problems during its launch on March 28th. Some people mightn’t even open the game on their computers.

Even before the launch of the game we already knew that running it would not be an easy task. But even following the requirements recommended by Naughty Dog, the game has unstable frames, long loading times and crashes.

Naughty Dog confirms updates to fix The Last of Us Part 1

In a post on Twitter last Monday (03), Naughty Dog announced that it provides a hotfix still on the same day and an update on Friday (07), in addition to promising to continue working to improve the game.

Unfortunately, Steam Deck users are out of luck: The developer stated that the portable is not the priority at the moment and that the company will focus on optimizing the game for PC before submitting it to Valve’s verification for the Steam Deck.

In performance tests that are currently being carried out here at Oficina da Net, we are facing stability problems, even using a latest generation Intel processor (i5-13600) and a new Nvidia graphics card (RTX 4070 The 12 GB).

Now imagine users trying to play on older hardware, using video cards like the popular GTX 1650, or even Valve’s portable Steam Deck?

We’re hoping the same thing happens to The Last of Us that happened to Cyberpunk 2077, a disastrous launch that was saved by a team of developers who continued to work on the game following launch.
