Naughty Boy Turns Lamborghini into Sandpit: Costly Consequences and Repair Issues

Sometimes children’s naughty behavior can really cause heavy losses to parents. Recently, an incident occurred in Suzhou, Jiangsu, China, where a naughty boy caused his parents to pay heavy compensation. A child used a Lamborghini worth more than 10 million yuan (equivalent to more than NT$40 million) as a sandpit to play, and the yellow sand ran away directly. Entering the engine room, the parents also compensated RMB 10,000 for this. The car owner surnamed Xu said that if yellow sand enters the engine, the repair cost may exceed one million yuan (equivalent to regarding NT$5 million).

According to Chinese media reports, a man surnamed Xu from Suzhou recently went to a local agricultural ecological park and then parked his car Lamborghini in the park. Before leaving the park, Xu Nan saw that the front of his car had become very dirty, and there was obvious loess above the cabin behind the car, so he ran to the management center to check the monitoring.

When Xu Nan looked at the surveillance camera, he realized that following he parked the car and left, the children playing in the sand saw Lamborghini and used Lamborghini’s car as a sandpit to play in, piling a lot of sand on top. Subsequently, Xu Nan hurriedly called the police for help. After the police arrived at the scene, they quickly found the child and the child’s parents. After understanding the situation, parents also expressed their willingness to pay compensation-related expenses.

Afterwards, Xu Nan took the car to the car dealership for disassembly and inspection. After inspecting the entire car, it was found that the sand only entered the engine room of the car, but fortunately it did not cause damage to the engine. The total cost of dismantling, inspection and cleaning was more than 10,000 yuan.

Xu Nan said that he spent more than 8 million yuan when he purchased the car. Including modification costs, the overall cost exceeded 10 million yuan. Fortunately, this time the sand only entered the engine room. If the sand really entered the engine, the overall repair cost may exceed one million yuan.
