Nature has reclaimed its rights in this sumptuous abandoned Chinese fishing village

In China, nature has reasserted itself in an abandoned fishing village. Let us take you to the heart of this little green corner of paradise.

Located on Gouqi Island, which belongs to a group of 394 islands known as the Shengsi Islands in the Zhoushan Archipelago, the village de Houtou Wan was once a prosperous colony. It was gradually deserted when its bay could no longer meet the needs of the growing number of fishing boats.

Located at the mouth of the Yangtze River, off the east coast of the Chinea small abandoned village has become nature’s peaceful refuge. Indeed, it was completely engulfed by dense layers of verdant ivy. It has now become a ghost town due to urbanization, inaccessibility, depletion of resources and changes in industry.
