US natural gas futures rose at the close of trading on Friday, following US inventories increased at a lower rate than market expectations.
And data from the US Energy Information Administration released yesterday, Thursday, showed that natural gas stocks rose by 32 billion cubic feet, which came less than the market expectations estimated at 45 billion cubic feet.
Natural gas prices on the New York Stock Exchange
American natural gas prices rose on the New York Stock Exchange at the end of trading for the week ending on July 22, as natural gas futures contracts for August delivery recorded $8,299 per million British thermal units, an increase of 4.63%.
Natural gas futures contracts for September delivery also advanced to $8.195 per million British thermal units, when the Friday session was settled.
