According to the New York Mercantile Exchange, natural gas futures were traded in August at USD7.86 per million British thermal units at the time of writing, down 1.87%.
The session has already been traded as low as USD7.61 per MMBtu. Natural gas may find support at USD7.082 and resistance at USD8.169.
The dollar index, which measures the performance of the US currency once morest a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.16% to trade at USD106.79.
Meanwhile on Nymex, September crude oil fell 3.71% to trade at USD96.17 a barrel while August heating oil fell 0.87% to trade at USD3.57 per gallon.
