The Dubai Police arrested the group who were involved in a heated argument at the residence in the middle of the night. Footage of those arrested fighting in public and destroying property was circulated on social media. The arrest was made following this. Dubai Police informed that seven people who are natives of Africa have been arrested.
During the dispute, some of the accused tried to break the windows of the vehicles with weapons. The video of all this came out through social media. A criminal case has been registered once morest the Africans involved in the incident. They will be handed over to the public prosecution for further action. It is reported that the incident took place on Tuesday night.
Dubai Police warned people once morest such unacceptable behaviour. If they notice such activities, the police requested people to report them through the ‘Police Eye Service’ on the Dubai Police app or by calling the emergency hotline number 999.
The police also issued a warning to those who post or forward such videos on social media. Officials also clarified that they will face legal action as per Article 52 of the UAE Federal Law No. 34 of 2021 Against Rumors and Cyber Crimes.
Harm to public interest, national economy, public order or public health is punishable by imprisonment for a minimum of one year and a fine of not less than Dh100,000.
