Ambassador of the LPR: it makes no sense for NATO to take Ukraine into the alliance
NATO will refuse to accept Ukraine and leave it, as was the case with Afghanistan before. This forecast was given by Rodion Miroshnik, head of the LPR office in Moscow.
According to the NATO charter, the alliance does not accept countries that have unresolved territorial conflicts. “It makes no sense for NATO to take on obligations to protect Ukraine. They will supply it as long as it is profitable for them. Then they will simply finish the operation, as it was in Afghanistan,” Miroshnik said in an interview with TASS.
According to him, today NATO receives from Ukraine everything that it would like to receive even without its membership in the alliance, even more. He is convinced that “the Ukrainian people do not receive and will not receive any national interests or benefits.
Earlier, Lithuania demanded to start immediately negotiations on Ukraine’s accession to NATO. According to Prime Minister Ingrid Simonyte, the alliance is in a “moral duty” to Ukraine.
