NATO begins its nuclear exercises in Belgium this Monday with 14 allies and up to 60 aircraft

The I’LL TAKE will start from this Monday nuclear exercises in Belgium that will include the participation of 14 allies and up to 60 aircraft, including fifth-generation fighter jets.

The secretary general himself, Jens Stoltenberg, confirmed that they will continue with exercises that will last until October 30 and indicated that it is a “routine” training which does not obey the present in Ukraine. At all times he stressed that changing the alliance’s plans because of the Russian nuclear threat would be sending the wrong message to the Kremlin.

“They serve to ensure that the nuclear capabilities of the I’LL TAKE remain safe, protected and effective,” he said regarding some annual practices that were scheduled before the war in Ukraine.

Air forces from 14 countries will carry out nuclear deterrence maneuvers with dozens of planes starting Monday. Belgium hosts the exercises this year and the flights will take place over the North Sea and the United Kingdom, the military organization reported in a statement detailing that it will not use live fire.

In the midst of Moscow’s rhetorical escalation on the use of nuclear weapons, the I’LL TAKE He has defended that his exercises will take place more than 1,000 kilometers from the border with Russia.

The annual exercise takes place every October and typically includes training flights with dual-capable fighter jets, as well as conventional aircraft backed by surveillance and refueling aircraft, and uses no real weapons.

For his part, the high representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs, Josep Borrell, assured yesterday that a hypothetical Russian nuclear attack “would provoke a non-nuclear response, but a military one so powerful that the enemy army will be annihilated.”

Russia warns Ukraine regarding joining NATO

Ukraine’s entry into the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) would cause World War III.according to the deputy secretary of the Russian Security Council, Alexandr Venedíktov.

“It is rather a propaganda step. kyiv fully understands that this step will mean a guaranteed escalation until the Third World War,” the Russian politician said in an interview with the Russian agency TASS.

According to Venedíktov, the intention was that, “to create noise in the informative space and draw attention once once more”.

“Although, considering how alienated many representatives of the kyiv regime are from reality, I would not be surprised if one of them really counted on their country joining NATO,” he added.
