[タリン 24日 ロイター] – NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said on Monday he would distance himself from China’s proposed ceasefire in the Ukraine war, saying the country might not be trusted as an arbitrator.

“China is not very credible because it cannot condemn (Russia’s) illegal invasion of Ukraine,” he told reporters. He also pointed out that the leaders of China and Russia exchanged an agreement several days before the invasion.

European Commission President von der Leyen said China did not share a peace plan, but did share some principles.

Shortly before invading Ukraine, China signed a pact with Russia that included “unlimited friendship,” he said, adding that it had to take into account that it was already on Russia’s side.
