Nationwide minute of silence Donetsk Regional State Administration

On March 16, 2022, Anna Denysenko died as a result of shelling in Mariupol. She did not live half a year before her 50th birthday.

Anna lived with her mother at 25 Lunina Avenue. During the shelling, she hid in an apartment. That day, she went out into the yard to prepare food, and just then an enemy shell hit the bonfire. She was at the epicenter of the explosion.

“Everything was fine. We were cooking, Anya asked us to help with the fire. She always smiled, said that we will endure everything, because we are together. But she stayed there forever,” recalls neighbor Olga Parakhnevich.

Anna was born and raised in Mariupol, worked as a camera operator at Mariupol City Water Channel, raised her son, and was happy with her granddaughter. She was cheerful and smiling.

Anna was buried near the house, later exhumed. She is survived by her mother, son, grandson, daughter-in-law and two brothers.

At 9:00 a.m. there is a national minute of silence. The Donetsk OVA and the Memorial platform honor the memory of the residents of Donetsk region killed by the Russians.
