Groupe 1 : crowned at the end of the second edition of the UEFA Nations League in 2021, France now occupy third place thanks to their success once morest Austria at the Stade de France. Victorious over Denmark, Croatia snatched first place in the group from the Scandinavians with one day to go.
Groupe 2 : Spain are unbeaten following four rounds, but only one point clear of second-placed Portugal, who they face in Braga on matchday six. Switzerland, last, is a length of the Czech Republic.
Groupe 3 : Surprise with Hungary at the head of what seems to be the strongest group, even if Germany points to a length, and Italy to two. Without a win, England occupy the place of relegation.
Groupe 4 : with 13 points, the Netherlands have the best total of the Ligue 1 teams and three lengths ahead of Belgium, second, their host on the final day on Sunday. Wales are three points behind bottom-placed Poland with one draw and four defeats so far.
How the 2022/23 UEFA Nations League A League works
League A contains 16 teams, divided into four groups of four. Teams play all group opponents home and away in June and September 2022. The four group winners in League A qualify for the knockout stage in June 2023. Bottom-placed teams are relegated to League B .
