Speaking at the opening of the exhibition of volunteering clubs organized as part of the first National Youth Meeting of the “Moutatawi3” program, which continues until this Sunday under the theme “Volunteering, Citizenship and Solidarity” , Mr. Bensaid stressed that this program contributes to raising awareness among young people of their rights and duties and offers a platform for the exchange of experiences for young people from different regions of the Kingdom.
The program, he added, intends to support and help young people aged between 18 and 22 to face the constraints and difficulties of their daily lives, on the path to realizing their dreams, their ideas and their projects.
In this wake, the minister affirmed that volunteering, a social value which contributes to the strengthening of solidarity and mutual aid among individuals and communities, is an authentic component of the identity of Moroccan society, “crystallized by our religion and our culture.
On the other hand, Mr. Bensaid noted that the ministry continues to work to support young people imbued with the spirit of volunteerism and solidarity, insisting on the need to be part of this approach capable of developing the “Moutatawi3” program.
The program of the first National Youth Meeting of the “Moutatawi3” program, launched on Friday, includes a range of activities, including an exhibition of volunteer clubs from different regions of the Kingdom and workshops devoted mainly to the “Convergence of volunteering and youth sector program” and “Promotion of volunteer club activities”.
The “Moutatawi3” program was launched last year by the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, as part of a new generation of programs dedicated to young people.
The program aims to involve more than 5,000 young people from across the Kingdom as part of a new program which is divided into two stages, the first relating to training and the second to volunteering.
This program will allow young Moroccans to strengthen their civic participation and develop their knowledge and skills through a diversified and integrated experience, which constitutes a unique opportunity for young people.
As for the areas of volunteering, the ministry had identified the environment, sustainable development, solidarity and cooperation, education and activities, heritage and culture, health, promotion of social works, in addition to sporting events.
