National Team ends preparation cycle in Luanda – Jornal OPaís

The national senior men’s handball team concluded, yesterday, the preparation cycle at the Kilamba Multiusos Arena, in Luanda, with a view to the African Championship in Egypt, a competition taking place from the 19th to the 29th of January 2024.

Speaking to the press, coach Filipe Cruz explained that work will continue in Portugal, with the most complete group, that is, with players who play abroad.

“After the internship on Portuguese soil, we will define the athletes who will represent the Angolan team in the African Championship. In fact, the technical team already has an idea of ​​who they will count on,” he said.

The Warriors, the name of the National Team, who are in group D with Nigeria, Kenya and Tunisia, aim in the competition to improve their eighth place in the last edition.
