The national team visited the Education City Stadium in Alayan, Qatar on the 21st (Korean time). Education City Stadium is where the national team will play all of the first to third matches of the Group H group stage. Normally, official training is held at the stadium the day before the game, but in the Qatar World Cup, the country that will play the game without official training is given an opportunity to check the ground and locker room.

The national team stopped by Education City Stadium at 11 am local time. The temperature was 28 degrees, but due to the scorching sun, the perceived temperature was in the early to mid-30s. But the inside of the arena was cool. A powerful air conditioning system cools the entire stadium. Cold wind blew from regarding 200 holes installed around the ground. The hats of nearby personnel were blown off.

The shaded area in the middle of the ground was only in the early 20s. The Qatar World Cup Organizing Committee promised to keep the ground temperature at 21-22 degrees for a pleasant environment for the players, but it actually came true. Kim Moon-hwan (Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors) of the national team said, “It seems that the air-conditioning wind is coming (to the ground). cool,” he said. Baek Seung-ho (Jeonbuk) also explained, “Being still, I feel cool.”

Heung-Min Son (Tottenham), who is training wearing a mask due to an orbital fracture injury, stood on the ground without a mask for the first time in a long time. He even pressed the grass with his hands.

However, it felt a bit hot in the sun. However, the national team will start the first match once morest Uruguay at 4:00 pm, the second match once morest Ghana at 4:00 pm, and the third match once morest Portugal at 6:00 pm. Recently, the sunset time in Qatar is between 4 and 5 pm, so it is time for the heat to go away. Therefore, it seems that there is no adverse effect due to heat.

The condition of the grass was also well received. Hwang In-beom (Olympiacos) said, “The grass is very good. The training ground is a bit on the hard side, but (this place) feels softer than the training ground. It’s a pity that I mightn’t train (at the stadium), but coming and stepping on it seems to be helpful.” Kim Moon-hwan said, “The grass is so nice and it seems to be perfect for playing. It’s similar to a training ground, but feels a little softer,” Baek Seung-ho said.
