The Senegal Football Federation made official this Tuesday a major reorganization of the technical staff of the Lions of Teranga. 2022 African Nations Championship (CHAN) champion Pape Thiaw has been promoted to first assistant to national team head coach Aliou Cissé.
The appointment follows the departure of Aliou Cisse’s former deputy Régis Bogarde, for reasons yet to be revealed by Senegal’s football governing body. In a press release posted on its official website, the Football Association announced a reorganization of the technical management that will place Papu Thiao in a key position for the future of the national team.

The press release details the new makeup of the Telanga Lions Club staff:
- Aliou Cisse : National team coach
- Pope Theo : First Assistant National Coach
- Teddy Perrin : Second Assistant National Coach
- Hussain Bichara Farhat : physical coach
