‘Selling for 2,500 won’, ‘I will give you a video, please contact me’ These are SNS posts that sell ‘private life videos’ of Hwang Eui-jo, the national soccer team player.

Comments were lined up below.

The video in question was first uploaded on an SNS account on the 25th.

The publisher also raised questions about Hwang’s privacy, claiming that she was his ex-girlfriend.

The original post was deleted afterwards, but the video spread rapidly.

Mr. Hwang eventually sued to find the owner of the SNS account that distributed the video and punish him.

My cell phone was stolen last year, and someone sent me a threatening message saying that I would distribute the video.

Distributing other people’s sexual videos without consent is a violation of the Sexual Violence Punishment Act, punishable by imprisonment for up to 7 years or a fine of up to 50 million won.

Possessing, viewing, or purchasing such videos is subject to imprisonment for up to three years or a fine of up to 30 million won.

The police assigned Hwang’s complaint to the Seoul Metropolitan Government Cyber ​​Crime Investigation Unit and launched an investigation.

The police are also planning to confirm the fact that the video publisher claimed that there was something like illegal filming on Hwang’s mobile phone.

Taking pictures of the other person’s body without consent is subject to imprisonment for up to 7 years or a fine of up to 50 million won.

In response, Mr. Hwang’s side refuted that it was in fact groundless, and said that the circulated video was filmed with consent.
