As many political parties and associations in Mali, the president of the “Maliens tout court” movement welcomes the takeover of the city of Kidal by the Malian army. But that doesn’t solve all the problems. For him, we must move towards true national reconciliation by reaching out to the rebels.

« We must not listen to people who are there to divide us. I know the Tuareg people, they are a people of integrity. Today, there is a lack of understanding, and I believe that tomorrow it is our role to extend our hand in accordance with the conference to tell the armed groups “come home,” explains MTC-MSD president Ibrahima Diawara. Even to our brothers who are in jihadism, the conference recommended that we speak to them. Because you know, even in a family there are misunderstandings and you have to reach out to bring them back. »

He continues by insisting: the real battle to be won is that of the fight once morest poverty. « Today we can win a war on a military level. But until we win the war once morest poverty, it will be difficult to escape this cycle of violence. »

The president of the movement Malians in short » adds that he has specific plans for his country, and ultimately barely hides his political ambitions.
