The National Police’s Traffic Corps (Korlantas) developed the Traffic Attitude Record application or a record of driver behavior in Indonesia. The application will record traffic violations committed by road users and become a reference for using a SIM.

“Later we will have a database of drivers, both those who violate the Traffic Law and those who are suspects or are the cause of accidents, it will be recorded at the traffic police, later it will become a point for using a driver’s license,” said the National Police’s Head of Traffic Corps, Inspector General Aan Suhanan, in his speech at Bhayangkara Traffic Anniversary activities at the Tribrata Hotel on Thursday, September 26 2024.

Aan said that every road user will be given 12 points when they get a driver’s license. If you commit a traffic violation, the points will be deducted. The point reduction is in the range of 1 point to 12 points. If the points have run out, road users cannot renew their SIM.

“Later, points will be deducted when people violate traffic rules or are ticketed by traffic police. For minor violations, 1 point, moderate violations, 3 points, serious violations, 3 points, for accidents it could be 8 points or 12 points for those involved in traffic accidents or hit-and-runs. ,” said the two-star general.

In fact, Aan did not rule out the possibility that the records of road user violations would also be used as a reference by the Intelligence and Security sector (Intelkam) to issue SKCK. This is expected to provide a deterrent effect for traffic violators.

“This can also be used by the intelligence function in providing police record certificates, so that traffic violations committed by motorists can be included in police records later,” concluded Aan. (Z-9)
