National Police Chief Asked to Investigate BBM Mafia in NTT Regarding Ipda Rudy Soik

This decision was taken because Rudy was found guilty of violating the KKEP in an investigation into alleged fuel abuse in Kupang City, NTT. (MI)

KAPOLRI General Listyo Sigit Prabowo is said to not be able to remain silent and stand idly by regarding the fuel mafia case involving unscrupulous members of the National Police at the East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police (NTT Regional Police). Moreover, Ipda Rudy Soik was fired as a result of the investigation into this case.

“Therefore, Indonesia Police Watch asked National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo to firmly resolve the illegal fuel case in NTT by forming a special team from Propam Polri and Itwasum Polri,” said Chairman of Indonesia Police Watch (IPW) Sugeng Teguh Santoso in a written statement, Sunday (27 /10).

According to Sugeng, this was in accordance with the National Police Chief’s promise that he would cut off the heads of rotten fish. Therefore, he said, the deployment of a special team would bring to light the figure of individual members of the National Police who were playing with illegal BBM.

“So if Ipda Rudy Soik is involved in it, then PTDH can be carried out against him. However, if there are other elements who are playing then they are the ones who must be fired. So that the NTT Regional Police will be free from the bad smell in the BBM game and the public’s trust in the National Police will increase increased,” said Sugeng.

Apart from that, he also asked Commission III of the DPR to form a Special Committee (Pansus) on fuel leaks in NTT which resulted in the dismissal of Ipda Rudy Soik. Sugeng said that public trust in the National Police would be important if the council members in Commission III stepped down and formed a special committee.

“This will prove that council members support President Prabowo’s program which will eradicate leaks, especially fuel in NTT,” he said.

Sugeng said that the BBM Mafia in the NTT Regional Police became noisy at the national level, after the NTT Regional Police fired Rudy Soik through the National Police Professional Code of Ethics (KKEP) hearing on October 11 2024. This decision was taken because Rudy was found guilty of violating the KKEP in a case investigating alleged fuel misuse in Kupang City, NTT.

The verdict number: PUT/38/X/2024 states that he is legally and convincingly guilty of violating the National Police’s professional code of ethics in the form of unprofessionalism in investigating the alleged misuse of diesel fuel by installing a police line at the Ahmad Anshar and Algajali Munandar locations. Rudy appealed the decision.

Meanwhile, Ahmad Ansar and Algajali Munandar were the first suspects questioned by Ipda Rudy Soik and when taking the BAP, Ahmad Ansar admitted that he had bribed the police. Strangely, said Sugeng, after Rudy Soik was hit by the PTDH decision, Algajali Munandar reported Ipda Rudy Soik for allegedly committing slander and defamation through news related to the fuel hoarding case.

The police report dated October 14 2024 was registered with the number: STTLP/B/289/X/SPKT/Polda NTT. In fact, after the report, Ipda Rudy Soik was intimidated by the NTT Police Propam. Dozens of Propam members came to his house and his wife was also terrorized by stopping the car in the middle of the road and checking the vehicle documents in the form of a driver’s license and STNK by the NTT Police Propam.

“The intimidation and terror caused Ipda Rudy Soik to ask for protection and report it to the LPSK and Komnas HAM. Therefore, Indonesia Police Watch asked the National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, to firmly resolve the illegal fuel case in NTT by forming a special team from the National Police Propam and National Police Itwasum ,” concluded Sugeng.
