National Plan for Digitalization and Financing of MSMEs to be launched during Forum in Asunción

Asuncion, IP Agency.- The opening of the National Forum of MSMEs 2024, which will take place on September 18 and 19 at the Cultural Center of the Port of Asunción, will be chaired by the President of the Republic, Santiago Peña. During the event, the launch of the National Plan for Digitalization and Financing of MSMEs will take place, announced the Minister of Industry and Commerce, Javier Giménez.

The 2024 edition of this Forum is organized by the Vice Ministry of MSMEs, under the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, with the support of the European Union and the collaboration of the Technical Mission of the Republic of China to Taiwan.

It is part of the Paraguay 2030 National Development Plan, in its lines of action for poverty reduction, social development and inclusive economic growth.

The main objective is to provide support to microenterprises for the formalization of their business management; incentives for the development of products and recognition of these through the tools available to the Ministry of Industry and Commerce for the establishment of formalization, financial inclusion, training and opening of markets.

By obtaining records and technical adjustments to the parameters required for each activity, the aim is to promote the production of this important sector, with a training and technical assistance plan to achieve this comprehensive formalization.

The National Forum for MSMEs is a space for training, exchange of experiences and debate on the main issues that make up the reality of the sector, related to the creation, development and competitiveness of MSMEs.

Each year, the meeting offers a space for exchange, dialogue, consultation, and reflection on concrete actions to co-create the desired future in public policies that benefit MSMEs throughout the country and to identify effective strategies for implementing these actions.

The strengthening of the competitive capacity of microenterprises and the generation of knowledge and instruments aimed at increasing the capacity to insert products into marketing chains aims to achieve the sustainability of demand and the orderly and progressive growth of microenterprises, based on the marketing plan outlined, says the MIC.
