NNA – The former Mufti of Akkar, Sheikh Zaid Zakaria, received in his office MP Mark Daou, wishing him “good luck and success with the Change Parliament’s bloc for all that is in the interest of the country and the citizen, while developing an action plan and cooperating with experts to address what has been corrupted by the corrupt regime.”

He called for “working to do justice to the martyrs and the injured of Al-Taleel and to complete the transparent investigation in their case,” calling on MP Daw and those with him, “to have their eyes on Akkar and to support its demands and rights.”

The meeting came within the framework of Representative Daou’s visit to the town of Kosha to offer his condolences on the death of Muhammad Iskandar, a member of the “Union of Akkar Revolutionaries”, who were killed in Halba, in his honor and the delegation accompanying him from Aley.

In turn, Representative Dhaou thanked “His Eminence the Mufti for his positions in support of change after the people lost confidence in the representatives of the ruling parties,” and said: “We are the bloc of representatives of the revolution and change, a national bloc, and we will work to build a state of institutions despite the authorities’ attempts to obstruct us. We also discussed with His Eminence the various affairs of the country and life. We affirmed that we will remain the free people’s voice under the dome of the People’s Parliament.”

He added: “Our visit to our brothers and our people in Akkar is to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood with the comrades of the revolution and the struggle in all the Lebanese regions, especially our comrades in the Akkar Revolutionaries Union whom we offer our condolences for the loss of our dear comrade Muhammad Iskandar, may God have mercy on him.”
