NNA – Driver Roger Feghali added to the Volkswagen Polo a new title in his career full of local and foreign titles, by winning the 10th Jezzine Rally title, which was organized by the Lebanese Automobile and Tourism Club in Jezzine District, today, under the auspices of OMT, with the participation of 21 cars, 17 of which crossed the line. Access. Driver Tamer Ghandour and his co-driver Salim Jalilati on a Skoda Fabia took second place, Omani Abdullah Al-Rawahi and Jordanian navigator Atta Al-Hamoud on a Skoda Fabia took third place.
The total distance of the rally, which is part of the second round of the Lebanese Rally Championship for 2022 following the Spring Rally, was 215.22 km, including seven special speed stages with a length of 85.83 km. Since the beginning of the race, Feghali and his co-driver, Fouad Feghali (participating for the first time in the “hot seat” alongside Roger) have imposed their control and tightened their grip on the top spot from the first stage until the seventh and final exhibition stage, leaving the competition for the remaining positions.
After the end of the first and second special stages, Roger took first place, followed by Al-Wahaibi Faghandour. But with the third stage and with Roger continuing his lead, Ghandour snatched second place, then Al-Rawahi third, so that the trio continued to lead and in the same order until the end of the rally, during which the Omani Hamad Al-Wahaibi (former world champion of Group N) suffered many mechanical problems, which prevented him from ascending to the podium . Alex Feghali won the Group N title and Elias Al-Dahni won the front wheel drive category, a title he won in the rally last spring.
