This activity is part of the activities of “Tripoli, Capital of Arab Culture” with the participation of films ranging from fiction to documentary and animation, with 64 films from 25 countries: Australia, Mexico, Poland , Morocco, Bahrain, Iran, Egypt, Sultanate. Artist Omar Mikati underlined: “The importance of festivals and the participation of films from different cultures of the world, and above all, the festival is open to everyone at the Lebanese National Theater, which constitutes an exceptional and unique case in Lebanon . The experience of more than 15 years has changed the cultural map of Lebanon and energized the marginalized areas of Lebanon.

Polish Ambassador Przemysław Niszewski spoke of “the need to organize the festival in light of the difficult circumstances Lebanon is going through and the work carried out by the Tiro Arts Association to open theaters and cinemas in the Lebanon is something very important for culture. and arts in Lebanon, and we await the opening of the historic Colisée cinema in Beirut.”

The festival strives to support local cinema, cultural exchange and organizes training workshops, seminars and discussions with directors. This cinema event allocates a large space for the presentation of films of student projects, as the festival, launched in 2016, is considered a mobile cinema event that takes place in several Lebanese cities, from Tire to Nabatieh, Tripoli, Beirut and Khiam.
