NNA – Tyre – The municipality of Burj Rahal inaugurated the alternative energy project for the four water tanks that feed the town with water, during a ceremony under the patronage of Representative Ali Khreis, and in the presence of the project’s financier, the Vice President of the African Continental Council, the son of the town, Marouf El Sahely, the mayor, Hassan Hammoud, and the town’s mayors. After the national anthem, he thanked the mayor of the coastal city for his “contribution to the realization of this vital charitable project that would help the people in light of the crisis of electricity cuts, the high cost of diesel and the inability to deliver water to homes.” He said: “We must unite and cooperate to solve our problems because we are living through the worst stages that Lebanon has gone through at all levels.”

For his part, Al-Sahli affirmed his support for his family, “not only in times of prosperity, but in days of difficulties,” hoping that “the alternative energy project will be an element of good and hope for the people who are in dire need of water.”

In turn, Khreis praised Attaat Al-Sahili, “the son of Burj Rahal al-Bar, not for financing this vital project, but for all the assistance he has done and is doing for the people of his town.” He said: “In light of the stifling economic crisis, a man of goodness and giving rises and extends a helping hand to help his family and people, and this increases their attachment to their land and homeland.”
He saluted the “Lebanese expatriate, who constitutes a mainstay for the homeland by providing his family in the homeland with aid, which relieves them of huge burdens that they are unable to bear, while some are distracted by dividing shares while the citizen pays the price and struggles to survive.”
