National League: Genève-Servette loses in extra time on Bern ice – rts.ch

After an unbridled match, Genève-Servette conceded a 6-5 defeat in extra time once morest CP Bern. Goloubef crucified the Eagles. First hitch for the leader following eight consecutive successes in the National League.

The Genevans have therefore not equaled their record series of 9 successes established in 2007-2008 and at the start of the 2012-2013 championship. Too many individual errors came to crack their game.

The GSHC had however managed to limit the damage following a nightmarish second third. A success of the Finn Hartikainen at the very end of the second period allowed him to approach the last 20 minutes with only one goal behind (3-4).

Derungs at the party

Trailing 4-2 then 5-3, the Genevans managed to snatch extra time thanks to Keanu Derungs’ 1st goal in the National League for his 2nd match at this level, then on a new masterpiece from Tömmernes, author of a devastating solo as once morest Ambri.

In overtime, the NL leaders evolved for 2 minutes at 4 once morest 3, in vain. On a counter, the Canadian Goloubef gave victory to the Bernese following a stunning match.
