Dubai: The UAE will observe Remembrance Day today to remember the martyrs who gave their lives for the country. Commemorating the martyrs, the UAE leaders called for remembering the heroes who sacrificed their lives for the country.
UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan said that it is a day to pay respect to the martyrs who lost their lives while protecting the sovereignty of the country. Their sacrifices are guaranteed to live on in the memories of generations to come. The UAE leadership will continue to support the children and families of the martyrs.
This day is also a day of appreciation and loyalty. He also called upon the youth of the country to learn from the great values displayed by our heroes, fulfill their duties and acquire new skills.
UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum said that the armed forces and security departments of the UAE are the shield and protection of the country. He said that the sacrifices of the soldiers who made a valiant martyrdom in the fight to protect the freedom, security and stability of the country will always be remembered and their families will be held together.
Ruler of Sharjah Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Ruler of Fujairah Sheikh Hamad bin Muhammad Al Sharqi, Ruler of Ajman Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Ruler of Umm al-Khuwain Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah Sheikh Saad bin Sakhr Al Qasimi and others also remembered the martyrs.
