National leader of Morena celebrates that Mexico is among the countries with the highest FDI

MEXICO CITY.- The national leader of Morena, Mario Delgado Carrillocelebrated the progress of the Mexican economy at a global level, after Mexico climbed three steps and is now among the ten countries with the highest Foreign direct investment (FDI), so it shares this ranking with economic powers such as the United States, China, Canada, France, Germany and Brazil.

Through his account on the social network “X”, formerly Twitter, the Morena leader emphasized that this achievement is the result of the high competitiveness that Mexico has achieved in the international economic panorama.

“Our economy continues to advance and show strength at a global level. We have moved up three places and entered the Top Ten of countries with the highest Foreign Direct Investment. Countries such as the United States, China, Canada, France, Germany and Brazil are in this ranking of high competitiveness,” he wrote.

In 2023, Mexico positioned itself as the ninth largest recipient of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) globally, reaching $36 billionaccording to data from the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD). This influx of foreign capital allowed the country to surpass Spain, Austria, India and Sweden compared to the previous year, although it was overtaken by Germany, thus advancing three positions in the world ranking of FDI.

She also expressed her confidence in the continuity of the virtually elected president, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo.

“And shared prosperity will continue with our (virtual) president-elect, Claudia Sheinbaum, on the second floor of the #4T, economic growth and development will be deepened, but above all, the well-being of Mexicans,” said Delgado Carrillo.
