Mikati, during his sponsorship of the launch of the Lebanon summer campaign “Welcome to Haltala”: We are going through difficult days, and we hope that if we continue to choose songs as slogans, we will not reach the song “Al-Asfouriya”
NNA – Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Miqat delivered a speech during his sponsorship of the launch of the “Lebanon Summer Campaign – Welcome to Hell”, at the Middle East Airlines Training and Conference Center at Rafic Hariri International Airport, in which he said:
“I am very happy to sponsor this celebration today, because in these dark days, we see a bright light shining in an important economic sector that grows, grows and succeeds. This is Lebanon, and we must always have hope, that Lebanon has no choice but to be prosperous and grow its growth natural.
Today we are going through difficult times, and a person should not see the measure of success in the days of prosperity, but in the difficult days. From here, I wanted to participate in this meeting to say that the Ministry of Tourism was able to make a qualitative leap for tourism in these difficult times.
We see difficulties in all airports in the world, and last week I toured two airports, London Airport, where the Middle East Airlines plane arrived five minutes early and stayed more than an hour to be able to land.
In another European airport, the bags reached the ceiling, and when I inquired regarding the matter, I was told that they were lost bags. As for us, despite all the difficulties, Beirut Airport is performing all its duties. Lighting Beirut Airport is not an easy matter, and every hour of electricity is forcibly taken so that the airport remains present and functional. Hence, I reiterate my thanks to the airport management, the Ministry of Tourism and His Excellency the Minister of Tourism, who is in constant activity and made a qualitative leap for tourism in Lebanon at this difficult time.
A big thank you to the management of Middle East Airlines in the person of its president and all its employees, because their smile on the plane first gives a kind of hope and optimism in the new Lebanon. This is Middle East Airlines, the national carrier that conveys the image of the country abroad, and brings the people abroad to Lebanon, especially the Arab nationals, whom we welcome all the time.
I also thank Professor Adi Bitar for the distinguished project and the road map that he outlined. This work would not have succeeded without his love for this country, which gives the Lebanese private sector an additional impetus to participate in the full meaning of the word.
We also thank the international bodies and embassies that work with sincerity and help us and stress before us, “We are with you. It is important that you be with yourself, and we will support Lebanon,” and we are in dire need of this assistance.
Finally, Your Excellency, you have chosen for the campaign slogans from Lebanese songs. The first campaign was entitled “I love you, Lebanon, how did I love you” by Fairuz and today, “Welcome to this look, welcome.”
for morning. We wish you all to pray with me, if we continue to choose songs as slogans, so that we do not reach the song “Al-Asfooriya”.
