It is not surprising to end the list with Mario Vargas Llosa, the Peruvian Nobel Prize winner for Literature who has brought us so many excellent novels such as “The City and the Dogs”, “Conversation in the Cathedral”, “The Goat’s Party” and, more. recently, “Hard times”. He not only stands out in the literary world, but also in the political world – including a campaign for the presidency – and the academic world, being a member of both the Royal Spanish Academy and the French Academy.
