National highway development will be resolved through discussion: Gadkari Kerala | Deshabhimani

Thiruvananthapuram
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has said that he will consult with the state to find a solution to the problems related to the development of national highways. The Union Minister was inaugurating and laying stones for 15 national highway development projects worth Rs 45,536 crore in the state.

The state understands the difficulty in providing the required 25 percent for the acquisition of national highway land. If certain proposals of the Center are accepted, the land acquisition fee will not be collected from the state. The state should agree to the demands of free government land for the national highway and exemption from state GST on wire and cement.

Three lakh crore rupees projects will be implemented by 2025 with the cooperation of the state. Gadkari said that the support received from the state government in land acquisition and construction is huge and Kerala is one of the best tourist destinations in the world.
