The National Government promotes the training of medical professionals for the diagnosis and attention to the communities in the country. That is why, for three days, he promoted the realization of the first Scientific Conference on Health, in the Military Circle in Caracas.
During the closing ceremony, the sectoral vice president for Science, Technology, Education and Health, Gabriela Jiménez, gave a magisterial presentation where she explained that “Venezuela has to make use of the tools of biotechnology, clinical research, community health spaces to advance in a significant research to care for people with Alzheimer’s problems.
That is why they develop “a pilot study that allows us with biotechnology tools, to estimate in our population, over 65 years of age, the incidence of Alzheimer’s in the country and the timely diagnosis that allows us to build a social, community, support policy to our patients and their families”.

On this point, he indicated that “diagnosis is not enough. Technique is not enough, the Revolution and President Nicolás Maduro summons us to do the new, that happens by rethinking the use of technologies for service and the rationality of life”.
“In this practice we have to build the approach protocols with you doctors, for these patients who during the rapid tests give us a positive result,” said the sectoral vice president for Science, Technology, Education and Health.
For her part, the Minister of Popular Power for Health, Magaly Gutiérrez, expressed her gratitude to the participants, such as the Venezuelan Institute of Social Security (IVSS), the National Health System, affiliated entities, as well as the speakers and where The ambassador of the Argentine Republic, Oscar Alberto Laborde, was recognized.
On balance, the minister highlighted that more than 470 specialists participated in the conference, 215 students from different universities, especially from the University of Health Sciences.
“These agendas must be done annually and with other specialties, taking into account that our health is changing. And that you can be multipliers of the information received, ”she concluded.
