The National Assembly Personnel Hearing Progress Report on Candidate Jong-ho Lee for the Minister of Science, Technology and Information has been adopted.

The National Assembly’s Science, Technology, Broadcasting and Communications Committee proposed and approved the adoption of a hearing report on Lee following a 12-hour personnel hearing at 10:30 pm on the 3rd.

Lee Won-wook, chairman of the committee, said, “I would like to adopt the (Candidate Jong-ho Lee) personnel hearing progress report, but if there is no objection, I declare that it has been passed.”

As a result, Lee became the third candidate to join the Yoon Seok-yeol administration’s ‘first-term cabinet personnel’ following the candidate for Environment Minister Han Hwa-jin and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Strategy and Finance Choo Kyung-ho.

In his closing remarks at the hearing on the same day, candidate Lee said, “If you give me the opportunity to work as the Minister of Science, Technology and Information, I will do my best to listen to the voices of various people and contribute to making a country where people prosper together by focusing on policies for the development of science and technology and digital innovation in Korea. I will do my best,” he said.
