National Day of Italian Historic Hospitals (ACOSI) in Romagna

The Third National Day of Historic Italian Hospitals will be celebrated throughout Italy on Sunday 13 October 2024.
All the hospitals in the ACOSI network will open their monumental spaces to the public, offering visitors guided tours and free concerts. In the spirit of the Association, the initiative enhances an illustrious history of science, charity and art, to promote innovative practices in healthcare, which integrate cultural, scientific, architectural and operational aspects.
The Romagna Local Health Authority, with its Widespread museum of Romagna healthcare art – Care through Artjoined the Associazione Culturale Ospedali Storici Italiani (ACOSI), founded in 2019, in 2021.

Aware that art and creative activities have a strong impact on our “well-being” – explains Dr. Sonia Muzzarelli, curator of the historical-artistic heritage of the Romagna Local Health Authority – the Romagna Local Health Authority, in this third event dedicated to historic Italian hospitals, will present its operators in different roles. They will be the protagonists of the various musical moments, and not only that, which will mark the day of the historic hospitals”

The program of the Romagna Local Health Authority for Historic Hospitals Day (13 October) includes guided tours, exhibitions, concerts and readings at the historic hospitals of Faenza – Ospedale degli Infermi, of Forlì – GB Morgagni L. Pierantoni Hospital and finally the pharmacy of the old hospital and the Oratory of Sant’Onofrio in Lugo di Romagna:

Faenza – Hospital of the Sick Corso Mazzini, 136

Meeting at 10.15am, at the Galleria delle Colonne, at the foot of the monumental staircase of the hospital

Small musical moment by the Faenza Hospital choir (made up of healthcare workers) who will perform a surprise program

Forlì – GB Morgagni L. Pierantoni Hospital, Via C. Forlanini, 34

– Meeting at 3.00 pm in the hospital lobby, Morgagni Pavilion

– 3.30 pm Guided tour of the Hospital Park conducted by local history historian Gabriele Zelli

– 4.30 pm, in front of the Allende pavilion, the architect of the ASL Romagna, Gianni Bisulli and the Arch. Marcello Balzani, will present the historic pavilions of Forlì

5.00 pm: small musical space by the duo “Due Note”:

they will perform a selection of songs from famous film soundtracks

from 3.00 pm to 5.30 pm, At the entrance to the Morgagni Pierantoni Hospital, the ASL employees will be available to tell you about the secret beauties of the Hospital Park: Antonella Guerra (amateur botany researcher), Leonardo Colonnello and Ivan Versari (greenery experts from the Forlì Presidium)

In case of rain, the event will take place in the Atrium of the Forlì Hospital
