National Child Rights Commission Registers Case for Children Left in Sun in Thiruvananthapuram

Thiruvananthapuram: The National Commission for Child Rights has voluntarily registered a case in the case of children being left in the sun as part of the New Kerala assembly. The commission has sent a notice to Chief Secretary V Venu regarding the incident. It is suggested to take action and submit the report within five days. The Commission also points out that attempts to shout slogans were noticed.

The children were kept in the sun for an hour to greet the Chief Minister and Ministers who were going from Thalassery to Panur in Koothuparam constituency. The students of Champat LPS, Chotavoor High School and Champat West UPS were dropped on the road. After the video came out, MSF filed a complaint with the State Child Rights Commission and ABVP with the National Child Rights Commission.

After the controversy, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan came to respond to the incident. The Chief Minister said that the children were standing in the shade. Dropping children from a school at a particular time is not a good thing. The Chief Minister added that it should not be repeated.
