They held a press conference in front of the National Assembly building on the followingnoon of the 30th and said, “It’s late, but even now, we welcome the decision by the National Assembly to designate the special law as an expedient agenda and deliberate the bill in earnest.”

Two representatives of the bereaved families, including Lee Jeong-min, acting representative of the Yuga-hyup, and Choi Seon-mi, a member of the Yuga-hyup steering committee, have continued the hunger strike since June 20th.

In addition, the ‘159km relay citizens’ march calling for the enactment of the special law in Itaewon’, which started on June 8, was stopped this morning for the last time, and emphasized, “We will continue our actions towards the National Assembly during July.”
