National action for this Tuesday, May 31: trains removed, administrations closed, media, schools, what to expect?

SNCB is already announcing major disruptions on the rail from 10 p.m. on Monday 30 May. Concretely :

  • No trains in the provinces of Namur, Liège and Luxembourg
  • In the rest of the country, a quarter of the trains will run
  • One out of three IC trains, connecting major cities, will run and one out of five S or L trains.
  • Many P trains (which run during morning and evening rush hours) will not run.

Travelers are advised to consult the alternative service this Monday morning on the travel planner, the application or even social networks or the SNCB website.

On the Stib side, we also expect major disruptions. Without being able to assess the participation of its staff in the action, the STIB foresees a much lower circulation of its trams, metros and buses. She also advises travelers to plan alternatives. The STIB will inform commuters on its website and will also open its contact center (070/23.20.00) from 6 a.m. this Tuesday morning.

The TEC network is also likely to be seriously disrupted. And specifies that information on the deleted routes will be available and updated during the day of May 31.
