They will carry out DNA tests to find out if the remains found belong to the tourist Natacha de Crombrugghe
At the request of the El Pedregal Provincial Criminal Prosecutor’s Office (Arequipa), the Lima Homicide Division is working hard to identify the human remains found on the banks of the Colca River, in the Tultinza area, Huambo district, Caylloma province. The authorities want to determine if it is the Belgian tourist Natacha Stephanie de Crombrugghe de Schipsdaele, who was 28 years old.
“It is necessary to indicate that, due to the preliminary analysis of the photographs obtained of the corpse, the location of the place where it was found and the morphological characteristics of the skull and other bones, there is a high probability that these (challenges) belong to the Belgian citizen, assessment that must be corroborated with laboratory tests (DNA molecular biology)”, explained Colonel Víctor Revoredo, head of said specialized unit of the National Police.
