Injured Tuesday during the meeting between the Blazers and the Clippers, Nassir Little suffered from hip pain. The white coats first thought of a not too serious sore, but Monsieur Petit had tests which revealed a fracture. It’s less funny and it’s one more blow for Portland.
In the NBA, everything moves very quickly and Blazers fans can tell you that. A few weeks ago, Portland was squatting in the heights of the Wild West and the whole city might then walk around with a big smile on its face.
But the tide has turned, the Blazers have lost 8 of their last 10 games and they are racking up injuries. The latest? Nassir Little who has just had his medical certificate stamped for six weeks because of a broken hip suffered during the game once morest the Clippers earlier this week.
Injury update
Trail Blazers forward Nassir Little exited Tuesday night’s game vs. LA Clippers in the fourth quarter with a right hip strain.
Further imaging of the right hip revealed a mild femoral head impaction fracture.
Little is expected to miss the next six weeks.

According to sources familiar with the matter, the fracture is slight, but rest is necessary for the one who filled his bank account with a nice check for 28 million potatoes over 4 years ago. The second unit of the Blazers will have to do without the energy of little Nassir. His stats are not dizzying with 5.5 points and 2.4 rebounds on average, but he knows how to make himself useful during the quarter of an hour he spends on the ground.
Back in the infirmary for six weeks minimum, the man knows the place. Since his debut in the NBA, he has already been there several times, including an extended stay last year because of a sore shoulder which cost him his end of the season.
Without Little therefore, Portland travels to Utah tonight and presents are rare.
