The Central Leadership Council (DPP) of the NasDem Party has opened the door to collaboration with media from China, Contemporary World Magazine. This was done by hosting a delegation from Contemporary World Magazine and representatives of the Chinese Embassy to Indonesia at NasDem Tower, Jakarta, Thursday (28/3).
Chairman of the DPP for International Relations of the NasDem Party, Martin Manurung, said that his party’s cooperation with China had been going well. According to him, the media delegation from China who visited this time wanted to know more regarding the Indonesian public’s perception of China’s image.
“Because according to them, China and Indonesia actually have a lot in common and many interesting things that can be explored further,” said Martin.
During the meeting, Martin advised the Chinese media delegation to increase cooperation that was not only regarding economics and business. Because, there are many other aspects that can be explored to strengthen relations between the two countries, for example in terms of culture and education.
“Because so far the Indonesian public has seen China as more concerned with economic issues, even though in fact there are many other things that can be explored and also to improve people to people relationships,” he explained.
Director General and Editor-in-chief of Contemporary World Magazine Lv Xuejun said, 2024 is a year of cultural exchange between the people of China and ASEAN. One of them was manifested in the visit of his party’s delegation to the NasDem Tower.

On the same occasion, Chinese Embassy Counselor Zhang Ke expressed his gratitude to NasDem for receiving the Chinese delegation this time. His party also congratulated NasDem for being able to win more seats in parliament in the 2024 elections than in the 2019 elections.
